Established in the year 1999 Samvit Sudha began with the primary objective of empowering the women in and around Chitrapur, a village situated in the North Kanara district of Karnataka by gainfully employing them & helping them achieve financial independence while keeping in mind their family obligations.

What started off as a vocational training center which produced simple cotton bags & stitched school uniforms for the local school has today grown into a tailoring and embroidery unit that is capable of producing a variety of products ranging from silk bags & pouches to trendy sling bags and accessories catering to all age groups.

Handmade Paper Project is an effort aligned to the Indian economies pressing need to reuse and recycle waste and create paper - a much needed resource. By using cotton or hosiery waste as the raw material which is otherwise dumped in landfills the process is eco-friendly and does not involve the felling of trees.

Parijna series of books has been carefully compiled to make young readers more positive, sensitive to the needs of others, proud of their heritage and protective towards the bounty gifted by mother nature. The series encourages parents to share 'quality-time' with their children while picking up a lot of interesting information too.
