Acme Soap Works was established in 1947 in response to Gandhiji's clarion call for economic Independence along with political independence. With the genesis moored in idealism, right from day one the emphasis was on Quality, Value for Money and excellent service. Acme first established a clientele with an innovative product, Jelly Soap, which was popularised by Direct Marketing, Prepaid Post cards for Free Home Delivery, returnable containers- all Novel concepts in those pioneering days.

In the late sixties Acme established a state of art R & D center. Those were the days when customer was anything but king and was forced to buy whatever was available. But Acme’s deep commitment  to quality and value for money formulations prompted the decision to invest in R & D. The focus was on value engineering, usage of indigenous raw materials and ensuring optimum quality at reasonable prices. Over the years expertise has been built up in a number of fields and the in-sights gained are used laterally in all product lines.
